EOCA

The European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) raises money through donations, membership fees and fundraising activities. Any company in the outdoor industry can become a member: manufacturers, outfitters, service providers, retailers, etc. One hundred percent of the membership fees go to the projects proposed by the members themselves.

Currently, the non-profit association has over 150 members, from Norway to India, from the UK to the Czech Republic. The conservation organizations proposed by the association members are allowed to apply for a grant of up to EUR 30,000 for specific projects. A not exactly inconsiderable sum in itself, which a company could hardly finance on its own. The greater the awareness of climate change and the greater the environmental damage we cause, the more important EOCA's work becomes. Because the more companies get involved, the more effective and the more the outdoor industry can achieve for the great outdoors on which it ultimately depends.

Mountain Equipment is proud to be a member of the EOCA!
